A:Answer That depends on how many sheet of paper you are shredding at one time. If you shred 10 pieces of paper at one time and continue to do the same over and over, the machine will over heat at one point from the stress much sooner then (5) pieces or less at one time. I been using my Shredder for three weeks about (3) hours continuous each day shredding (5) pieces of paper each time, and It only over overheated once, so I needed to let the machine cool down. Its a powerful Shredder which does the job.
