A:AnswerThe light on the inside is white and not that useful once you fill it with all your drinks but it’s still really nice. The most sound you hear from it is the refrigeration part when it’s changing the temperature. Other than that it’s pretty quiet
A:AnswerIME, I'd say no, you can't order parts...so I'd take it back for repair/replacement. Likely you'd get a replacement (or Best Buy in-store "Credit Card") -- as per my recent experience: I tried to get my Insignia 1.7cuft mini-fridge fixed -- thought it needed the thermostat replaced as it'd stay at 42F and adjusting the thermostat did nothing either up or down (42 is okay for drinks, but not for food) -- but the Best Buy Repair Center (in AZ?) said it was "unrepairable" as they "couldn't get parts." Pretty sad, as otherwise it worked fine -- what a waste of a product. So it seems all you can do is take it back and get a replacement -- or store credit as I said, and get something else. In my case, I used the store-credit on that 1.7 unit towards what I have now: The Insignia 48-can Beverage Refrigerator (glass door). Good luck...
A:AnswerIt's a compressor, and mine is VERY quiet, unlike the Insignia dorm-type mini-refrigerators that make all kinds of sounds. I have the 48-can model of this Insignia Beverage Refrigerator, but I'm sure ALL the sizes are compressors.
