If your monitor has sound, plug into the sound input port on the monitor and the output port on the CPU. Otherwise, they audio cables are obsolete. I have this cable and I don't use them. I just taped them to the VGA cable to keep them out of the way.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Many newer computers have HDMI connectors instead of VGA. This cable only works with VGA connectors. The cable connects to the VGA connector on the monitor and a VGA connector on the computer. The audio cable connects to an audio input jack on the monitor if it has one and on the computer. The monitor would only have an audio input jack if it has built-in speakers. HDMI connectors handle both audio and video..

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On the computer use the headphone jack or audio out (if You use a PC), on the monitor there should be an audio in if it has built-in speakers. If the monitor does not have any speakers then you cannot plug it in. Of course you can use external speakers. Or if you use it to a projector, some projectors have audio in, because there’s a speaker in the projector.
