I don't know anything about fitbit, but the Insignia came with a cable that did not work for me...I wanted to be able to charge my GPS while out on a walk, so totally portable. I purchased a cable that had mini and micro ends and was able to charge up the charger. Can't remember who I got the cable from, but it was online and I just did a cable search looking for a cable with those ends. The bonus is that the cable is only 6" long (tho longer is available), so perfect for my portable need. Hope that will solve your problem as well.
