During the initial setup, it took about 4 to 6 hours to get it cold enough to start putting our freezer goods in there. I would say 10 to 12 hours to reach actual temp used as a freezer. The continuous running to get it to temp did cause the unit to feel warm to the touch on the exterior. Keep in mind, our unit is placed in an enclosed garage. It is not inside where the ac has the temp cooler.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it will take about 2-3 hours to reach -6 degree and side walls are hot ,but side walls will cool down a lot and become warm after
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Usually it takes up to 12 hours to reach the temperature. Yes, it is normal for the sides to feel warm.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine is indoors, with the family, so it had to go from "room temperature" to near-freezing (32°-33° F), which took at least six hours (this was last year, so my memory is hazy on details). And yes, the outside gets warm to the touch as it cools. This is because the compressor is continuously working to circulate the refrigerant and create the cooling. When it reaches the designated temperature (which will take longer in a warm environment, and less time in a cool one), the outside will cool down to room temperature (metal generally feels cool at room temperature, whatever that may be). As the inside warms up and goes above the selected temperature (which inevitably happens, unless the outside is as cold as the inside), this process will repeat indefinitely.
