“After 1 yr, the can lid can't fully open, every time only open a little gap. Changed new battery and cleaned up everything include the senor still not working, any thoughts?”

Hey it’s the cheap gear inside. It cracks and so the shaft that spins and supposed to move this gear to push lid up, doesn’t do it anymore. See pic, it’s under here.. maybe try apoxy, or glue or if access to 3d printer print it.
