“Is the trash can suppose to have openings in the bottom of the can? I just received mine, and was surprised that it didn’t have a solid bottom. Seems like if I get a leak in the trash bag, I will have a mess in the kitchen.”

Yes, I notice that too, when I received mine too. They should have made a piece that you can take out to clean if that should happen.
