QuestionI have a 14.0 cubic foot insignia freezer and it works well but is very frosty and eventually lifts the lid off. We lost our key but think the key would help hold it down. Where can we get a new lock key for this unit.

- Answer if it's that frosty its lifting the lid, may need to defrost and set it lower? Mine is set at 4 1/2 and its in a garage and full of food and everything is frozen just fine. As far as getting a new key its a simple latch lock and you can probably open and close it with a small allen wrench. I never even put the latch on mine and don't use the key, no intention to ever lock it.if you really need a key maybe the insignia website?

- Answer No it doesn’t come with a drain hose but it has a hole where to connect it in the front but to be honest if one keeps it at the recommended temperature it doesn’t build lots of ice around in order to need a drainage

- Answer If you’re looking to make a cold plunge, it needs to be completely sealed. Which will obviously make it unreturnable. Use jb water weld, and plan on about 4 hr job. But it does the trick and permanently

QuestionMy space is very limited. We have about 30 and 1/8 inches in depth. I see the depth with the handle, and hinges is 30 and 1/2 inches. So my question is, can the handle be removed?

- Answer Our of the box the handle is not attached; So you could esily just not install the handle when setting it up. Seems like it should work just fine without a handle, though: it may be mildly harder to open, the handle mounting holes are a bit gnarly/ugly, and you would lose the ability to lock the lid.
