Should be a slider on the botton that slides the battery out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If your just using it for a shutter release you don't have to use batteries with it. At least with my camera (Canon 80D) I don't have to have batteries. But if I want to use the full functions of the shutter release unit I have to have batteries in it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As I recall there is a small plastic tab that you need to pull out to activate the battery. The tab is there to prevent the battery from being used or run down while it is in the packaging.
