“I have the 165 can beverage refrigerator and the temperature gauge according to a thermometer is 8 degrees off.Why is that. I have tested 2 thermometers for accuracy and both read the same.So my assumption is the thermometer is correct.”

I had the same problem. Is the side of the unit hot? If yes, it might be stuck in the defrost mode. I took mine back to Best Buy and it was replaced under the 1 year warranty.
