A:Answer Hi... I feel your pain ! As I understand it, for the frig to work it extracts heat from inside the frig and sends it outside (much like your house AC during the summer). However, if it is very cold outside the frig (colder than the frig temp itself), then not only is the process inefficient, but it simply stops working. You can't extract heat from inside the frig and send it outside, where it is even colder. So... in your case, you may have to warm up the garage a little -- which may be a tall order in Wisconsin ! Or move the frig to the basement....Good Luck....
