Hi BobK, Refrigerator temperature is factory preset for 37 degrees F and the freezer is preset for 0 degrees F. Too low of a temperature for the refrigerator will freeze your fresh fruits/vegetables (and use more energy). Too high of a temperature can shorten the shelf life of dairy, fresh meat and fruits/vegetables.
