• I personally wouldn't use this for a microwave due to the great amount of power a microwave draws or along other electronics... I think it's just safe for TVs and other low v/watts consumption electronics...

• I would recommend you 1st check with the manufacture, as most high current appliances are not recommended to be plugged into extension cords. That being said. This cord is currently being used with such an appliance, no problems so far. It's been approximately 3 months.
