Yes it is angled and will work for your application.

Please try again later.No. The plug is 3-prong, so it only goes one way up, and it is long, so one plugged into the upper receptacle of a 2-plug outlet will cover the lower receptacle. However if you use only one of these, and then a multi-plug outlet extender into it, you may be able to position the extender so that it doesn't need to be flat, and then you can plug your devices into the extender.
