I believe it is 4 watts. I bought one to supplement the sound of a 43” Samsung TV. It amplifies and gives a better quality of sound than the TV provided. It is not surround sound or big movie theater sound. It does allow me to understand words better as well as get an excellent musical experience.

The back of the unit says 12 volts, 2.0 amps. To get wattage, multiply Volts x Amps. So it is a 24 watt unit.
