QuestionWill this soundbar turn on and off automatically with the remote from my directv

- Answer It will not turn off automatically. I just purchased this and am returning it because I cannot program my vizio TV to control the soundbar. You have to use the remote that it comes with which is not very convenient

QuestionHi I purchased an insignia 2.0 mini sound bar to go with my 3 year old 43” insignia tv. I’m connecting it using a dig. Optical. The sound bar worked when I initially connected it. But after about an hour it started blinking green and no sound now. Help?

- Answer For Fire TV's: mine blinked green as well. Audio output needs to be changed to "PCM." The option frustratingly does not show up under "Sound" once you press the Gear/Settings physical button. So you'll need to go to -> Home Screen -> Settings -> Display & Sounds -> Audio Output -> set Digital Audio Format to "PCM."

QuestionI have tried connecting this to two different TV's using RCA cables and it will not operate. However if I connect via optical it works. Any ideas?

- Answer This Soundbar includes RCA cable and 3.5 mm cable adapter. If you want to use the Digital Optical input you need to purchase an Optical Cable. David M. - Insignia Support

- Answer Short answer, NO, at least not that I have found. I have this soundbar attached to a 24" LG TV connected to Dish Network. The soundbar is so much better than the TVs built-in speakers but so far I have not been able to get the Dish remote to turn on/off the soundbar. It will control the volume and mute functions but not the on/off, so I always have to manually turn on the soundbar, that has turned itself off, using either the button on the right end or the soundbar remote. Very annoying but I'm getting used to it. Sorry, not much help, but at least you are not alone. I wish it would just stay on all the time.

QuestionI hooked up the soundbar to my LG 49" UHD TV, via the RCA audio jacks. However, there is no sound coming out of the sound bar. What gives. Hate to waste more money buying an optical audio cable if something is the wrong with the unit.

- Answer I have the same turntable and yes it works out of the box with the soundbar. You just have to plug the red and white cables into the soundbar.
