- Answer Hello 33bc, Yes, you can plug your external drive into the soundbar's USB port. To proceed, please follow these steps: Plug a USB thumb drive (with WAV files) into the USB port on the back of your soundbar. Connect the AC power adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the soundbar. Plug the other end of the AC power adapter into a power outlet or surge protector. After your soundbar is plugged in and turned on, press the (sound source selector) button repeatedly on your soundbar or remote control until the source indicator turns purple. Control USB playback by pressing the (play/pause) PAIR, previous and next buttons on the remote control. QuestionJust called Insignia support who were not at all helpful. YES I have the TV and the sound bar set to PCM as am using optical cable. NO there is no damage to the cable. After 2 years working fine now apps on smart tv trigger green flash and no sound! HELP

- Answer that's really nice of you, INsignia, but see my post - I already called you! and they did all the "troubleshooting" (everything I'd already done after reading the manual!) and was told there was nothing to be done and I'd have to check with TV manufacturer about apps or call a technician - right.

- Answer Mine was a open box item, it came withe the RCA cables that can hook right into the tv, I wanted to use the optical input, so I had to order an optical cable, the sound is great for the size.

QuestionI just bought this ns-hmsb20. I accidentally hit the blue tooth pairing feature. Now, the blue tooth pairing will not turn off. I have disconnected the power and taken the batteries out of the remote. When turned on, it still endlessly searches BT.

- Answer You cannot turn off the Blue Tooth while it is in the process of trying to pair. Pressing and holding the Blue Tooth button for three seconds does nothing. Pressing and holding any of the other buttons for three seconds doesn't do anything either.

- Answer It should, it's a pretty universal sound bar. You'll get best quality sound if you use the optical digital cable. I tried both Bluetooth & optical cable and optical cable is definitely better. You'll have to purchase it separately ($10-20) but definitely worth the investment.

- Answer I believe it is 4 watts. I bought one to supplement the sound of a 43” Samsung TV. It amplifies and gives a better quality of sound than the TV provided. It is not surround sound or big movie theater sound. It does allow me to understand words better as well as get an excellent musical experience.
