“I hooked up the soundbar to my LG 49" UHD TV, via the RCA audio jacks. However, there is no sound coming out of the sound bar. What gives. Hate to waste more money buying an optical audio cable if something is the wrong with the unit.”

Try to connect the soundbar to the 3.5 mm headphone jack on the TV.

Please try again later.I did the same with my Spectre TV with built in DVD player, but I got a very noticeable hum, so I hooked it up to my satellite receiver, which worked without the hum, but when I switch to my streaming stick, the audio from my satellite receiver was still what I got. I ended up using an optical cable, just make sure you line the plugs up exactly with the matching plugs on your TV and soundbar. I had trouble matching the optical cable end with the plug on the soundbar. Suspected something was wrong with the soundbar, but the gentleman at the door of my local Best Buy got it to match up.

Please try again later.Hi there... this was a gift for our daughter she had the same issue... first make sure you have it on yellow dot by going through the series of colors on the sound bar, second switch the cords coming out of the TV. It works perfect after we did that.
