“If I buy a USB on one end and hdmi on the other will that cord work to pass sound to the sound bar”

• Hi, hope this helps. Red and white analog cable comes in the box with soundbar. However, we bought the optical cable and it works great. However, you may need to check this as we got a new TV when we bought this. Older TV's will need to use the cable in the box. If you have optical outlet on back of your tv then you can use that.
