“Are the soundbar's volume increments the same as the TV's? With my current soundbar, each time I press "Volume Up" the volume jumps much higher (too high) than my TV's volume would jump. How does this soundbar's volume increments compare with the TV's?”

It's a totally different amp & speaker so has no relation to your TV's increments. It works well for me for both low volume and high volume playback (with no issue of finding a sweet spot)
