• This has an Optical Out (TOSLINK) and RCA Stereo Jacks (Tip-Ring, Red and White). It's a 2.0 Soundbar, so this would be a major downshift in audio quality compared to Surround Sound.

• you need the red and white cables for sound and long wires if you want to run the speaker from far away, other than that, maybe an outlet to keep the thing alive and lastly some source you want to play the music, from a phone of pc
