• I'm having the same issue with no volume. Guess I'm going to have to try the optical.

• You may need an optical cord that you can purchase at best buy. I bought the insignia brand. It worked great. I hope this helps.

• My experience with this item, is that, the RCA connectors are about useless, I had to get an optical digital audio connector to get any sound. About $5.

• Make sure you have the speaker option on tv set for external speakers and the correct input is set on the soundbar.
