I have a 40" sharp Roku which you can only connect thru the Audio/Headphones jack into the Unit. That said the BT is great clarity, volume and sound, but using the AUX in on the speakers. The TV has much louder volume, cleaner and clearer sound. We have the Sharp Roku in our eating area off the Kitchen. I would check out the Roku TV Audio options for better sound output, I typical use LG BT Tone speakers with the ROKU App on my Phone and select private listening when I'm Prepping food in the Kitchen or late at night, you could use the the App with the speakers but these are not louder than the Sharp TV speakers even over BT, If you want good sound from TV and use a speaker at the same time you need to get a speaker than can handle SPDIF (the glowing red light port on the back of the TV) then you can have both at once and control separately. I think that the cheapest Insignia TV bar style speaker that Best Buy sell handles AUX/BT and SPDIF
