Q: QuestionThis fridge doesn't seem to get cold, I put in 2 fridge temp guages and on the top stays above 40 and the bottom around 38, Im at the max cold setting, door is closed, not too much inside fridge, plenty of air around fridge, why isn't it colder?

Q: QuestionI just unpacked the fridge. There is a foam zip-tied around one of the wires right to the compressor. Does it need to be removed before plugging in the fridge?

• A:Answer I have had mine for just over a month now and I have been pleased with it. I actually have the temp setting higher than the recommended setting and it stays 40 degrees. I still have room to adjust it closer or warmer. I put my own thermometer in it.

Q: QuestionThe manual says this is a manual defrost fridge. How often does it need to be defrosted? It has no freezer, not sure why frost would even occur.

• A:Answer Plain fridges without a freezer DO need to be defrosted. The air moisture condenses snd freezes on the wall nearest the freezer coils. I have a different yet popular (cheap) brand d as mall fridge and myst remove all items and let the ice buildup of about 2” or more by 12” on back wall melt enough until I can yankj the huge iceberg off. Then clean all interior. Sanitize. Put items back. Have to do this less the less I open the unit. Ambient moisture turns to ice… But for the price as a basement or extra fridge it’s a good deal. I’ve heard of people cranking the temperature to lowest and forcing it to be a mini freezer. Wears out faster but I’ve done it!
