Firstly, you have to install a suitable hard drive into the enclosure because it does not come with one. Next you will need to use disk management or a third party partition program to delete any existing partitions and create a new partition. At this point you will not format the drive on the computer; you will simply connect it to the Xbox and format it through the Xbox. There are step-by-step guides all over the internet on how to do this.
