“I have a WD1003FBYX. I want to use this for extra memory for PS4. It came with USB 2.0. PS4 needs USB 3.0. Will this external case fix this issue? Thanks”

No. This will not even fit a hard drive that large.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will need an enclosure for 3.5" hdd. What i did (and highly recommend) was pull the 2.5" hdd out of the ps4, and replaced it with a Samsung evo ssd. It costs a bit more but worth it. I then placed the original ps4 hdd in this enclosure for extra storage. Very easy and many you tube videos if you need instructions. Hope this helps mate!

To use the drive you have, you would need something like the j5 Create HD Enclosure for 3.5” SATA HD (JEE351). The JEE351 has USB 3.0 and is hot-swappable, which is an additional layer of safety in case it accidentally gets unplugged while in use. Hope this helps!
