• Yes, USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0

• I picked mine up to a USB 2.0 system and it was usable

• All USB devices are backwards compatible and can operate at the slower level as needed.

• This drive enclosure will work at either USB 3.0 or 2.0… Obviously at USB 2.0 it will be a little bit slower.
