Kind of confused with what your asking here. I take it you want to clone your old drive to this one and then swap them out (port over)?? If such the case yes. If existing drive is larger make sure your data transfer s/w will support it. Easeusbackup and a few others work great and can run within windows. once done,, swap drives and reboot. recommend as alway to back up any data before proceeding and rename new drive to something you will recognize- the clone will override, but at least you will know which is your “target”. good luck
