• I would assume so. I purchased mine to use on my Xbox 1 and it works just fine. Idk much about Sony but if it supports external drives then I bet it does.

• The case works on a 2.5 sata hd. But if you are referring to if it is compatible with a ps4 as an external hd then yes..most externals now work with ps4 firmware update 4.50

• It should work but, the 2.5 inch SATA drive are typically slower than the 3.5 SATA drive. I have a 4TB external drive for my xb1 that works great. I would not recommend using a laptop HDD for a gaming console.
