“Can this item be used for a washing machine and/or dryer?”

• If you have a gas dryer, this will work. One other review said he had installed this protected outlet behind the hard to reach area for his washer and dryer and it worked well.

• No. Dryers have their own electrical needs and doesn’t take a standard plug. Your dryer probably has a bigger 240 volt 3 or 4 prong plug. Washing machines usually take less electricity and would probably plug into this fine. I’m not an electrician, but if you have more questions, read the manual for power requirements. (I know, nobody ever reads those!)
