According to the installation guide -- no. It requires a PCIe slot. My Asus board has the x1 and the x16. It says it requires Windows 8.1 and above (I upgraded to Windows 10 64 bit). Not sure about your system board on the Gateway, but the Windows version doesn't meet the minimum requirements.

Please try again later.No I could not get it to work with Windows 7 I had to buy another one that did work with windows 7 this one works with 8.1 and 10.0 I hope you can still get one for 7. It tells you on the back of the box which one it works for . If I find the number for the one for 7 I will add it later.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Drivers for Win 7: Search for 'Renesas uPD720202' ,which is the chip used by this card, and found the driver at 'driver.softpedia.com'. I downloaded version 3.0.23.0 as it was the newest driver listed. I've had no problems with it on my Win 7 computer. This was answered by John above, just asked about using it for Vista, but it works for WIN7 when you install the driver
