Really not how it works. All record players with your cables, called RCA cables , connect to a receiver. The receiver should have what is called " phono" inputs, which allow you to connect directly to the receiver. Some budget record players have built-in amplifiers, which you will need to amplify the signal from your player into the receiver. If your record player does not have the built in amplifier, and your receiver (if you have one) does not have the phono inputs, you could buy a "phono preamp" which connects between your record player and the receiver. that unit will cost you between $90.00 up to $500.00 . That being said, you would be better off purchasing a receiver with the phono input. Check to specs on your record player. If it has the built-in pre-amp, you are good to go and can buy an affordable stereo receiver and connect to any unused input on the back.
