Depends on the model. On the older 21 Cu, Ft model NS-UZ21XWH7, the freezer have grid shelves and I can put 50 lbs. even distribution across each shelf with the help of boxes (the shelves itself can bend). The newer model, NS-UZ21WHO-C have hard plastic like glass shelves so I do not recommend putting too heavy items, especially in the middle of each shelf. Max I do 30 lbs./ shelf, with the heavier items on both sides and lighter items on the middle. I have an older model I use as a freezer and a newer model as a fridge.
