We currently have ours in a cold weather garage. It is working fine and keeping temperature. We also have an older refrigerator in the same garage that does not work well in the cold so we already keep a radiant oil heater on when it gets below freezing. The heater sets close to and in between these 2 appliances. Just to be cautious we will always run the heater when it is below freezing to help keep the brand new freezer from ever having issues with the cold.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That’s where I am using it and it’s working great:)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In refrigerator mode my internal temp drops 12° at only 40° in the building. I suspect it won't operate as a refrigerator at all once it gets any colder. I have temp set to 46° it has dropped to 34° for a while already. The specs do say that the FREEZER is garage ready. I now assume the 0 to 110° only means that those temps won't damage the appliance. Not that it will hold its temp
