• I believe it can I ordered one for a refrigerator and one as a freezer. Thought this was a good idea. In the summer if I need additional refrigerator I can change the freezer to a refrigerator. In the winter after crops I can put it back to a freezer

• Yes. We actually bought two of these for the garage. We use one as a full time freezer and the other one as a full time refrigerator. We love them. They are a little hard to open because the seal is so tight, but if you place your hand toward the bottom of the handle and gently pull they will open easily.
