• If your talking about a square wave inverter, yes. "Chop" inverters do not work well and can cause reception issues. To get watts, divide the peak amps (1) by 120 volts. In this case is you look at the spec sheet this comes to .009 watts at 60 Hertz. Buy a quality inverter 12 or 24 volts. No Harbor freight ones, they are terrible. Hope this helps.
