  • QuestionWhat are specs for the water supply elbow that is customer provided? Provide a part number or link? Installing at remote site and need to bring it with me. Old dishwasher has standard supply input (3/8" I think), but the manual says elbow required.

    Asked by DaveG.

    • Answer Your answer is incorrect! I had to unbox it to make sure before I take it to the remote install location. It is NOT 3/4" NPT. It is a standard 3/4" FHT (garden hose type connector) to 3/8" compression. It is a standard dishwasher connection, and the elbow is available at any hardware store and is sold as a dishwasher connection elbow. Too bad its not included with the dishwasher, not specified in the installation manual, and Insignia customer service agents don't even know the right answer!

  • QuestionMy current dishwasher is 30" high. I am seeing information on the internet that it is possible to remove the "feet" of a dishwasher so that it will fit a 30" high opening. Is this possible with this dishwasher and will the installation crew do this?

    Asked by Laura.

    • Answer Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, it is possible to remove the feet of the Insignia™ - 24” Top Control Built-In Dishwasher to fit a 30" high opening. The feet are adjustable and can be removed or lowered to reduce the height of the dishwasher. Regarding the installation crew, they typically handle adjustments like leveling the dishwasher and removing the feet if necessary. However, it's always a good idea to confirm this with Best Buy or the installation service provider to ensure they can accommodate your specific needs. Keith | Insignia Support

    • Answer Thank you for your question, Gatormama! The Insignia brand, including the 24” Front Control Built-In Dishwasher with Sensor Wash, is Best Buy's own private label. This means that Best Buy designs and markets these products, but they are manufactured by various third-party companies that specialize in producing appliances. - Shiela | Insignia Support

  • QuestionDoes this have an actual heat element or requires minerals/chemicals to dry?

    Asked by Heat.

    • Answer Hi there! The Insignia™ 24” Front Control Built-In Dishwasher uses a heated drying method, which means it has an actual heat element. However, to improve the drying process and reduce water spots and filming on the dishes, it is recommended to use a rinse aid. Without rinse aid, your dishes and the dishwasher interior will have excessive moisture, and the heated dry option will not perform as well. • QuestionWhy is there always standing water in the bottom below the steel strainer? You hear it drain when starting a cycle. It’s never visible unless you are pulling the strainers, but has a tendency to stagnate if I don’t use the dishwasher more often.

    Asked by Anon.

    • Answer There could be several reasons for standing water in the bottom of your dishwasher below the steel strainer. Some possible causes include: Clogged drain hose: If the drain hose is partially or fully blocked, water may not be able to properly drain out of the dishwasher, leading to standing water in the bottom., Food debris or debris blockage: Food particles or other debris could be blocking the drainage system, preventing water from fully draining out of the dishwasher. In any case, It is recommended to check and clean the drain hose, drain pump, and drainage system to see if any blockages are present. If the issue persists, please call us, Insignia Support for schedule appointment with a appliance repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem. -Ed | Insignia Support | https://www.bestbuy.com/site/brands/best-buy-brands/pcmcat1596746025285.c?id=pcmcat1596746025285
