• Yes using a HDMI cable will make your picture and sound more clear an crisp. If you are using a HDTV and have HD channels on your cable or are using blu-ray player with a blu-ray disc. Then you will get a better more clear picture. If you are currently not using a HDMI cable then you are going to see a big difference between regular SD TO HD.

• Depends on capability of TV, or that might be age, where TV has HDMI as an option to coax etc the HDMI cable is much better. So give it a try. If it does not help then buy a Smart TV and use the cable you just bought with it.

• Hdmi cable would reach 1080p which is hd and make the picture clearer. Also your tv must be hd and the device you connect must show hd.
