“When I got up this morning the air conditioner was flashing FL on the front and it won't let me turn it off. I unplugged it and then replugged it but it still has the same FL on the front and still won't let me turn it off.”

The FL code means the water collection tank is full and needs to be drain. You can fin the drain plug on the back side for the AC and towards the bottom.
