A:AnswerClogged coils can cause poor cooling. Check to make sure nothing is stuck in the condenser fan and that it spins freely (models with coils on the back won't have a fan). To do this, unplug the fridge and pull it out. Clean the fan blades and spin the fan by hand to see if it's stuck.

A:AnswerTo adjust the freezer temperature press and hold the Lock light for three seconds. Then press the Freezer Temp and it will cycle between the values +6 and -6. We keep it at +6 and that is cold. Same process for the fridge temp. All modern fridges make some noise as they cycle the air flow. Mine doesn't beep but it does make a mix of soft noises and it's usually due to the fan speed and the ice maker. The fan on the Insignia is pretty quiet even when on high and I'm fussy about noise. Not much can be done about ice maker noise - they all do it.
