They can fit two (2) , one (1) gallon containers. Something to consider is the weight of 1 gallon of water = 8.4 pounds, milk = 8.6 pounds. Two gallons would put an extra 16.10 pounds of weight in the door, which over a period of time might ( it’s possible ) cause door sagging. There is plenty of room in this fridge to keep the gallon jugs on a shelf inside. We will put a gallon jug in the door if it’s half full.
