Hi JR1177, Thank you for taking the time to review our Insignia™ - 26.6 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Stainless steel. I understand you found it uncomfortable to use since it is to dim and that can be discouraging. Upon checking on the manual there is no way to adjust the brightness/light on a refrigerator.
