The massage control is located on the right hand side and I found it easier to place in the pocket on the right side after I set up my options.

I'm not sure if you mean the wired controller, which would go in the hanging bag just off the right arm, or if you meant stuffing your arms in the massage area located just under the tops of each side of your massage chair.
