• I’ve had 0 issues with popping noises. Must be a one off

• Hi Floey, This is a normal noise as the refrigerant passes through the cooling system. It is caused by thermal expansion and cold contraction. You can manually adjust the thermostat to "OFF", and then adjust to the appropriate setting until there is no water bead attached on the evaporator.
