This model in my case after having it just for a couple of years works ok. But that blue light works when it want to work. It’s a cheap model and it has kept my food frozen. The light was on all the time in the beginning and now it’s on sometimes. So I check on it frequently to make sure it’s working. It’s not my power source because I plugged in a tester and all three lights lit up brightly. If you can get a better model or brand you definitely should. I’m not sure how long it will last.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The blue light should be on all the time, if the freezer is cold ? then just the light is not working .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Anytime you're freezer is plugged into a properly wired Outlet the blue light will be on regardless of the position of the thermostat. If your freezer is running in cold and still has no blue light I would suspect there is something wrong with your electric in the wall and the absence of the blue light is the freezers way of letting you know that there's something wrong, could be positive and negative are reversed or you have an improper ground in your outlet. It may be worth the $5 plug in tester that you can get at any hardware store to verify that you're electric outlet is correctly wired.
