So, how do you defrost this and NOT thaw your food??? null

You can put your food in cardboard boxes while defrosting. Stack the full boxes, and cover with a few layers of cardboard and a blanket. The top box won't start to thaw for 1 - 1 1/2 hours, and only a tiny bit around the edges of the top layer of food. You can speed up the defrosting by sticking a small fan inside of the freezer to melt the frost faster .

You would need temporary storage.

You must take the frozen food out and put it into a cooler or another freezer while you defrost the freezer.
