I have mine plugged into the same outlet as my two door refrigerator and they are both doing fine

Please try again later.Old house wiring will be a 15 amp circuit and your maximum draw will be somewhere near 6 amps (5 for the microwave and 1 for the freezer) So don't worry, you'll be fine as long as you don't have other things running on the same circuit. If you overload the circuit because there are other things on it like a toaster, you might trip a breaker. If that happens you can fix it by not running the toaster and the microwave at the same time and/or ask someone who's knowledgeable about house current to check to see if you have more than one circuit in your kitchen. Once you know, then divide-up the heavy loads and put them on different circuits. Heavy load = anything that gets very hot!
