A:Answer1.0 Amps operating at 115 Volts. 4 amps start up. Watts = volts x Amps so ~115 watts but that does not square with the estimated $23 per year cost. Probably its 1 Amp when cooling down a load but a lot less once all the food is at temperature.

A:AnswerYou can not set the freezer on carpets. The outside and underneath the freezer get’s to hot, the freezer needs air to circulate around the freezer and underneath.
A:AnswerI wouldn't put it on carpet because you defrost it by opening a plug at the bottom and letting the thawed out water run into a pan which you then empty into a sink. I suppose you could put some blocks under the freezer so it isn't sitting directly on carpet, but make sure the freezer is level if you do that. It holds a surprising amount of food, as in A LOT! The rule of thumb is 1 cubic foot of freezer space for every 35 – 40 pounds of packaged meat.

You need to allow a little more space for Depth if you plug it in directly behind the freezer.
