It could help to clean the sensor or maybe double checking to see if the correct ink matches the printer

Depending on your printer I used to grab a semi moist paper towel and lightly press upon the ink heads of the cartridge to allow the moisture of the ink to process threw better and maybe having the printer recognize it as full.
