The recommended height for the standpipe is 48 inches (122 cm), which helps prevent siphoning and ensures efficient drainage. The washer’s drain hose must be routed through the included hose holder and securely placed into the standpipe. Additionally, the standpipe must be wide enough to accommodate the outside diameter of the drain hose, which is typically around 1 inch to 1.25 inches.
